Este año marca el V Centenario del nacimiento de esta gran santa y Doctora de la Iglesia. Debido a este gran evento pinté uno de los momentos mas conocidos de la vida de Santa Teresa, la transverberación. La espiritualidad de esta santa era tan hermoso y místico que llego a sentir un dolor tan fuerte que era muy placentero.

This years marks the Five-hundredth anniversary of the birth of this great mystic and Doctor of the Church. Because of this I painted one of the most famous episodes in this saint's live, the transverberation. St. Teresa's deep spirituality caused her to pain great pain, but yet full of great pleasure.
